Students selected for the National means cum merit scholarship will receive 1000 rupees per month for 4 consecutive years from 9th to 12th. National means cum merit scholarship eligibility
Students who are currently studying in 8th standard have the opportunity to write this exam. Students should have secured 55% marks in 7th class exams. SC, ST should have 50% marks. Students will be selected state-wise. States/UTs conduct separate examinations for examination. One lakh scholarships are divided according to the population of the states. According to this division, 4087 have been allocated to Andhra Pradesh and 2921 to Telangana. 15% for SC, 6% for ST, 7% for BCA, 4% for BCE and 3% for disabled.
National means cum merit scholarship question paper
The question paper will be 180 marks. There will be 180 questions carrying 1 mark each. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours. There will be two parts. Part 1 will have 90 questions and Part 2 will have 90 questions. The duration of each part is 90 minutes. All the questions will be objective type. Each question has 4 options. There will be no minus marks.
In Part 1 Mental Ability text questions will come from Verbal Non-Verbal Sections. Reasoning and critical thinking skills are tested. These are asked from Analogy, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Perceptions, Hidden Figures, etc.
In Part-2 Scholastic Aptitude Test, questions will come from Physics-12, Chemistry-11, Biology-12, Maths-20, History-10, Geography-10, Political Science-10, Economics-5. In this, Science Social and Maths questions will be asked from the syllabus of classes 7 and 8.
A minimum of 40% marks should be secured in both sections to qualify for the examination. SC and ST candidates should score 32% marks. General candidates should get 36 marks in each paper and 29 marks for SC and ST candidates.
