All India Sainik Schools aimed at 6th and 9th class admissions in 33 military schools across the country
Entrance Examination 2023 Notification Released. This exam is conducted by National Testing Agency. Military schools are taught in English medium. These are residential schools with CBSE recognition. Girls can join in the 6th standard. Only boys should apply for admission to class 9th. All India Sainik Schools Entrance-2023.
67% of seats are reserved for local students in military schools. Students from other states/UTs can compete for the remaining 33% of seats. 10%/maximum 10 seats are reserved for girls in class 6 in every military school. Class 6 admissions will also be conducted through this notification in 18 new military schools in partnership with NGOs/Private Schools/State Governments. Students studying in military schools are prepared to join National Defense Academy, Indian Naval Academy, etc.
All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam Eligibility
Boys and girls currently studying in the 5th standard can apply for the entrance exam. They should be between 10 to 12 years of age as on March 31, 2023. Boys studying 8th class this academic year can apply for the 9th class entrance exam. They should be between 13 to 15 years of age as on March 31, 2023. That means born between April 1, 2008, and March 31, 2010.
All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam Pattern
The test will be conducted in objective mode. All will ask multiple-choice questions. Answers should be marked on the OMR sheet with a pencil. There will be no credit marks.
6th Class Entrance Details: The duration of the exam is two and a half hours and the total marks are 300. In this, 50 questions will be given from Mathematics. 3 marks are allocated for each of these. 25 questions from Intelligence, Language, and General Knowledge will be asked in each section. These carry 2 marks per question. Questions will be given in the candidate’s regional language and the English medium chosen.
Class 9 Entrance Details: It will be conducted in English medium only. Total Marks 400. 50 questions will be asked from Mathematics. Each question carries 4 marks. 25 questions will be given in each of the Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science topics. Each question carries 2 marks.

Application Fee: INR 650 for General Candidates. 500 for SC and ST candidates.
