Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) invites applications for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) Programme. The duration of this program is two years, a full-time residential managerial program. It is recognized by AIU, AICTE, and NBA. There are a total of 240 seats in this program. 5% of these seats are allotted to NRI candidates. PG Diploma in IRMA.

Program details

It consists of six terms in total. The first two terms consist of foundation courses. From the third term to the sixth term, one has to study elective courses related to the specialization.

Specializations

Marketing, Finance, OB-HR, Production and Operations, IT and Systems, Public Policy and Development Consulting, Business Strategy and Policy, Social Sciences, and Economics. The program consists of classroom classes, village fieldwork segments, and summer internships.

IRMA eligibility

Candidates who have passed any degree with second-class marks can apply. Those who are preparing for final year exams can also apply. They have to submit degree certificates by September 2023. A valid score of CAT 2022/SEMAT 2022/XAT 2023 is mandatory. For those who have these three scores, the better score out of the three will be considered. GMAT (2018 post-exam) score is also allowed for foreign students. There is no age limit. A minimum of 5 years of experience as of 30th September will be preferred.

IRMA selection process

The shortlisted candidates will be given admission according to the prescribed weightage after conducting an online written ability test and personal interview. An essay of 200/300 words should be written on the topic given in Retainability Test. Through this, the written skills, knowledge of rural issues, etc. of the candidates will be evaluated. In the interview, the leadership qualities and communication skills of the candidates will be tested. Online or offline modes can be selected for the interview.
There will be online interviews for foreign candidates. 35% for national exam score, 35% for interview score, 5% for retention ability test score, 5% for academic merit, 3.5% for gender diversity, 15% for regional diversity, 2% for academic diversity, 3% for academic pedigree, 5% weightage will be given to experience.

Scholarships

The organization offers merit-based scholarships to encourage talented candidates. A total of 20 scholarships are available. 10 of these scholarships are reserved for women. Scholarships are awarded based on selection merit in the first year of the program and based on marks obtained in the annual examinations from the second year onwards. A 50% tuition fee concession is available under the scholarship.
