Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad has released the Telangana State Eligibility Test (SET) 2023 notification. It is mandatory to qualify in the set for the recruitment of assistant professors and lecturers in universities and colleges across the state. A set is conducted in all subjects. Telangana SET eligibility
MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, M.L.I.S.C., M.E.D., MPED, MCJ, LLM, MCA, M.Tech (CSE/IT) passed from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks can apply. 50% marks is sufficient for PwD, BC, SC, ST candidates. Candidates who are preparing for final year exams at the PG level and looking for exam results can also apply. Those who have completed their Ph.D. are also eligible.
They should have written the PG exams by 19 September 1991. It is enough for them to get 50% marks in PG. PG Diploma holders as well as PG/PG Diploma holders from foreign universities should submit a Master’s Degree Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. Candidates have to write the set in the same subject studied in PG. There is no upper age limit for writing a TS set.
TS SET-2023
It is a computer-based test. It consists of two papers. Both papers will have objective-type questions. The first paper is common to all candidates. In this, 50 questions will be given on Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking, and General Awareness. These are given in English and Telugu medium. In the second paper, 100 questions will be asked about the subject chosen by the candidate. Questions will be as per UGC/CSIR-NET Syllabus. These are given in English medium. For certain subjects, it is also available in Telugu. For Hindi Sanskrit and Urdu subjects, questions will be given in those languages. To qualify for this exam candidates must score at least 40% marks. Candidates with disabilities, SC, ST, and BC should score at least 35% marks.
