The application deadline for Alinda Forensic Science Entrance Test (AIFSET) 2022 for admission to Forensic Science courses offered by various universities across India ends on September 30. BSc (Forensic Science), and M.Sc (Forensic Science) programs are available. The duration of the B.Sc program is three years and the M.Sc. duration is two years. Forensic Science The study of forensic science consists of three disciplines namely medical data science, laboratory sciences, and field sciences.

Medical Data Science: It includes aspects of Forensic Pathology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Forensic Medicine, and Ontology.

Laboratory Sciences: This includes Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Ballistics, Fingerprints, Suspect Documents, Marks, and Impressions.

Field Sciences: This includes crime scene investigation, fire accidents, explosions, and investigation of secret drug laboratories.

AIFSET

It is done online. Can attend through mobile, laptop, or desktop. 100 multiple-choice questions are given in this exam. Total 100 marks with one mark per question. The test duration will be one hour. There will be no negative marks. Syllabus details are available on the website. The question paper will be in the English language. Candidates can write this exam maximum of three times per program.

Forensic Science Programs

The BSc (Forensic Science) program includes subjects related to scientific applications, blood stains-soil-bones-fingerprints, mobile/laptop/computer data recovery, DNA profiling, civil cases, illegal activities, etc.

The M.Sc. (Forensic Science) program consists of four semesters. Among them, training is given in crime investigations, identification of suspects based on objects found at crime locations, principles of forensic science, policing, criminal investigation, forensic science techniques, photography techniques, analysis of crimes in different situations, etc.

BSc Forensic Science Education Qualification

B.Sc (Forensic Science): Must have passed Inter/12th/equivalent course from a recognized board with Mathematics/Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects. A minimum of 50% marks is mandatory.

M.Sc.(Forensic Science): Candidates must have passed B.Sc.(Forensic Science/Related Subjects) with second-class marks from a recognized university for admission to the program.
