Data Science Programs in NIELIT
The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Chennai offers online (blended) programs in the Data Science department. PG Program in Data Engineering, Certified Analyst (Big Data) programs are available. Each program has 4 modules. A test is conducted at the end of each module. At least 50% marks should be secured in each test. Certificates will be preferred only for those who have secured 50% marks. There will be 3 assignments as part of the program. PG Program in Data Engineering
It is a practical-oriented program. Its duration is one year. The total duration of training classes is 840 hours. Online sessions of 240 hours will be conducted in each of the modules of Configuring Platform for Data Engineering, Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics. The final module will have a mini project on the Implementation of Data Analytics. 120 hours have been allocated for this. From Monday to Friday there are sessions from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm every day.
Eligibility
Candidates who have completed BE/BTech/MCA/MCS/DOEACC B Level Course/MMC from a recognized University with; Master’s Degree (Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research/Economics/Econometrics/Applied Mathematics/Applied Statistics)/MBA can apply. Candidates aged 20 Years must be filled.
Program Fee: 44,000 rupees (fee waived for SC, and ST candidates).
Registration Fee: INR 1000 (This amount will be refunded to ST, and SC candidates).
Last Date for Registration: 06/February/2023, Selected Candidates list will be released on 08/February/2023.

Program Start Date: 2023 from 15th Feb
Certified Data Analyst (Big Data)
The duration of the program is three months. Total training time is 240 hours. 75 hours for Configuring Platform for Data Engineering module, 90 hours for the Hadoop EcoSystem module, 15 hours for the Enhanced Communications Skills module, and 60 hours for the project in the last module. Sessions are held from 4 pm to 6 pm every day.
Eligibility
Final year students of BE/BTech/MCA/MBA; Three years Polytechnic Diploma (Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications/Computer Engineering/Electronics) with a minimum of one year experience in the IT sector can apply.
Program Fee: INR 13,000 (fee waived for SC and ST candidates)
Registration Fee: INR 1,000 (For SC and ST candidates, the amount will be refunded)
The last date for registration: is 25 January 2023, shortlisted candidates will be released on 27 January 2023.
