Food Corporation of India (FCI), an Indian food company, has released a nationwide job advertisement. , there are about a thousand assistant and manager jobs in South Zone. Let’s know the complete details of this notification, how to prepare for the exam etc.

FCI Manager Posts

To apply for manager posts i.e. pass with a minimum of 60% marks in any degree. PG along with 5 years of work experience is mandatory for Manager Hindi posts.

FCI Manager Selection process

The final selection will be made after an online test, interview, and training. The written test will be divided into phases 1 and phase 2. The question paper will be in English and Hindi mediums.

The phase-1 exam paper will be the same for all candidates. Multiple choice questions will be given for 100 marks. Answers should be written within an hour.

English Language, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Aptitude, and General Studies will have a total of 100 questions with 25 marks each. A quarter mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. These marks will not be considered in the final selection if you qualify for this exam.

Phase 2 consists of Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3, and Paper 4. Paper 1 will be 120 marks from Phase-1 topics. Paper 2 will have 60 multiple-choice questions on the relevant subject depending on the post-specialization. A total of 120 marks paper should be completed in one hour.

In Paper 3, 120 questions of 120 marks will be asked on General Hindi, General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence, Computer Awareness, and Current Affairs topics. This test has to be completed in an hour and a half.

FCI Non-Executive Posts

There are JE (Civil), JE (Electrical Mechanical), Steno Grade-2, AG3 (General), AG3 (Accounts), AG3 (Technical), AG3 (Depot), and AG3 (Hindi) posts.

To apply for non-executive posts one should have any degree or diploma with one year of experience. Computer knowledge and typing shorthand are required for the post. Applicants for these posts should be between 18-28 years of age.

There will be a total of 100 questions of 25 each from each section for 100 marks. The question paper has to be completed in an hour. All the questions come in multiple choice mode. A quarter mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Phase 2 consists of Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. But all the candidates are not required to write all the exams. You have to write papers depending on the post you have chosen.

Paper 1: Questions will be asked on English Language, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Aptitude, General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, and Computer Awareness. The paper will carry a total of 120 marks. It should be completed in an hour and a half.

Paper 2: 60 multiple choice questions will be given on the relevant subject following the post. To be completed in an hour.

Paper 3: 120 questions will be given on General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Computer Awareness. The duration of the exam is one and a half hours.

Skill Text: Skill tests will be conducted for those applying for steno courses. Qualifying in this test which is conducted in typing and shorthand is enough.

How to Prepare for FCI Jobs

If these posts are divided into General, Depot, Technical, and Accounts, those applying for General and Depot posts should study Maths, English, Reasoning, GS, Current Affairs, and Computers first. Those applying for technical posts should study Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology in addition to these subjects. Aspirants for Accounts posts need to prepare Accounts along with the above-mentioned subjects.

As the papers to be written depend on the postcode, one should know thoroughly which question papers to write for the post being applied for and what is their syllabus. Some subjects will be repeated in Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams. One should know the importance of them in the exams and prepare a plan to prepare for them.
