How to fuel with artificial leaves
Plants produce food through photosynthesis through their leaves. Based on that, Cambridge researchers have created artificial leaves. They absorb light from sunlight and make fuel from the water below. In the past, artificial leaves equipped with LED lights were able to produce hydrogen. However, the glass used for artificial leaves in the past was thicker.
In the latest research, the glass has been made thinner and coated with metal oxides, without the help of any lights, designed to absorb more light in direct sunlight and generate energy. Placing these floating leaves in polluted water bodies and beaches can reduce water pollution along with fuel production. Moreover, artificial leaves prevent water from evaporating in the crop canals, researchers say.
How Nitrogen Coolers Work
Till now we are using AC and air coolers to keep the atmosphere cool in the rooms or halls. Liquid nitrogen coolers can be used in their place in the future. Experts from Israel say this.
Kinoko, a company from Israel, has developed a device for cooling outdoor air for the first time. This device, called the Kinsho system, works without electricity. These cylinders are filled with nitrogen at a temperature of -191 centigrade. Once switched on, it is released into the air and spreads rapidly.
As a result, there is a cooler atmosphere around. Environmentally friendly compared to air conditioners. This does not release any hot air into the atmosphere. Moreover, our atmosphere contains 78 percent nitrogen naturally. Therefore, there is no risk to health from inhaling nitrogen in the air.
Experts say that filling these tanks every 10 days is enough depending on the weather. Currently, this company has made 12 coolers as models. The company is planning to bring these to the market soon.
How to remove scratches on a car?
A car gets scratched for many reasons. They have to be made invisible, i.e., taken to the showroom or painted or sprayed. But without all these difficulties, Korean scientists have found a coating that erases the scratches on its own. This new type of coating contains polymers called krill polyol.
These chemically bonded polymers can be separated from the bonds and reassembled just as easily when needed. This means that all the polymers in the car’s painting will re-align themselves when scratched. As a result, the line is not visible. All it does is expose the car to moderate or hot temperatures. As it does so, the molecules in the photothermal color used in the coating absorb the infrared light and correct their alignment.
It takes 30 minutes for this to happen. If you think that 30 minutes is too much time, experts say that if you put a magnifying glass and let the light fall directly on the spots where the spots are, they will disappear in just a fraction of a second. Technology Updates 2022.
