CLAT(Common Law Admission Test) Education Qualification
This test can be passed with inter-qualification and by joining the five-year Law Course. Inter-final year students can also apply there is no upper age limit. The examination will be done offline. Applications should be sent online.
Exam date: December 18
Application last Date: November 13.
CLAT testing procedure
The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. It will consist of 150 150 multiple choice questions. Each question will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer. Questions will be on the following subjects. 1. English Language 2. Current Affairs-General Knowledge 3. Legal Reasoning 4.The Local Reasoning 5.Quantitative Techniques.
English Language: Each paragraph has 450 words. These paragraphs can be given in the fiction-non-fiction category based on current events or past events. They are given to be read in 5 to 7 minutes while being at the intermediate level. Questions will be asked from each paragraph. To succeed in this section means to practice reading as fast as possible. Law course requires a lot of reading, so it is very important to improve the ability.
Current Affairs-General Knowledge: It also has 450-word paragraphs. It is based on news items. There are questions on current events in the country and the world, arts, culture, international affairs, and historical importance. Even in the GK section, the test to examine the candidate’s reading skills is huge paragraphs. If you don’t read quickly, you won’t be able to write knowing the answer. So, the candidate should read more daily newspaper articles along with increasing his awareness of current affairs.
Legal Reasoning: In this, paragraphs of 450 words are given on matters related to legal issues. There is an opportunity to give on public fallacy and values. No legal knowledge is required but one should be able to understand the topic discussed in the paragraph and answer according to the principles mentioned therein.
Logical reasoning: It consists of 300 words. In the question, it is necessary to identify the argument, conclude, state the application, know the connection, and note the opposite premises.
